I refuse to use the calculator on my computer. Well, maybe not refuse as much as find it to be less convenient. Sounds too ridiculous to even write– I find computing on my computer to be less convenient. Seriously though, this is my calculator and I’ve had it since I was 13 (thus the lovely art it’s been donned with). Somehow I use it nearly everyday. From working out studio bills, to invoices, to reaching certain monetary goals, to figuring out how long I have before I’m in trouble. I love this thing, even though come 6 PM (soon to be 4:30) it’s solar poweredness will fail me.
I remember the purchase in my 7th grade math class taught by Mrs. Thayer, who made all her own clothes and wore a different outfit every single day of the school year. I remember how advanced a system it seemed. Exponents, square roots, and all those other fancy buttons. Now it has a simple life, just your basic math- like retiring in Miami, except it’s a studio in Brooklyn and its kid hasn’t abandoned it. Perfect existence.
I appreciate you, thing.
