Fahnestock State Park, NY I’m a city girl, always have been, probably always will be- yet I absolutely love escaping it. It’s nice to leave behind the heels, the makeup, the glazed over eyes from staring at my computer screen for too long, the garbage trucks I find myself riding behind daily…but my camera is always welcome to join. This time I brought along my baby- my very first camera, a Canon AE-1, and a few rolls of film. Gather together great company: obviously. Pack a feast: check. check. check.  Turn the phone off: satisfaction. Tents, sweaters, boots: necessary.    Borderline ridiculous and absolutely hilarious conversation: yes please. That’s it. Bring together all those elements and you’re bound to have a good time. We definitely had it all covered, and then some.
